Review of Justice League (2017) by Joe M — 21 Nov 2017
Decent film, probably my favourite comic book movie of the year that I've seen, narrowly beating WW but trouncing Guardians. Plot is basic but you're introduced to 3 new characters, cosmic elements and a lot more in 2 hours so a basic plot is a godsend.
The movie is incredibly well acted though I am looking forward to the inevitable 3 hour directors cut for the cut scenes that you can tell should have been there. Of all the films to limit to 2 hours a team movie should not have been it.
The CG is ok, great on occasion, awful in others. The villain is forgettable after his opening scene but was a throw away CGI guy and set up for probably Darkseid later on. If you go to the cinema to watch this stay to the very end there are 2 after credits scenes worth watching and I can't wait for the solo films coming out, casting was perfect and they dragged the film from a 2.
5 to a 4.
