Review of Justice League (2017) by Olanzo B — 22 Nov 2017

MAIN POINT: If you've waited to see some of your fav superheroes from your childhood fighting side by side on the big screen--THIS MOVIE IS FOR YOU. THE AUDIENCE SCORE DOESN'T LIE. It's a crowd pleaser.

And I was thoroughly pleased. Ran out of popcorn type of good.

Despite what many of what the critics have said and what many of the audience reviews have noted as being flawed, I found this movie to be THE ACTION-PACKED, EYE-BROW RAISING AND SATISFYING RIDE I had hoped for. I enjoyed the CGI, the soundtrack and especially the Banter between each of the JL members. It's reminiscent of the animated DCEU.

The length of the movie was pretty good, you could tell they had a lot of material and the Director's Cut is bound to be even more amazing. This movie is for comic book nerds, superhero lovers, and just about anyone inside of that fandom who don't need much introduction. Who doesn't know the story of Batman/Superman/Wonder Woman by now?? even the formation of the JL when it was the JLA back in the 70's and superfriends way before then. Yes they've gone through many retcons but honestly.

In the age of blockbuster superhero movies, one has to wonder whether or not you can accept a divergence from the MCU and accept the creative direction where the DCEU is heading. I have my qualms about the timeline and the introduction of this movie so early on, before the individualized movies( Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg etc) with the exception of WW because it was done essentially as a Period piece/ prequel.
