Review of Justice League (2017) by Martin R — 20 Dec 2017
I seriously think that the critical reviews of this film are way too harsh! I think that is made obvious by the difference in the Audience score and the critical score.
I tend to base my own experience on whether I enjoyed the film or not, and I can honestly say I did enjoy this film.
There are always things in every movie I watch (especially comic book movies) that I would change... and this film is no different, but on the whole I thought it was good.
I thought they could have done a lot better with the moustache thing especially after the initial uproar during the reshoots which made it obvious that this was going to be scrutinised.
I also think the return was Superman was rushed and could have been handled a lot better.
The most annoying part was that all of the trailers seem to show scenes and dialog that were nowhere to be seen in the actual film, but I put this down to WB marketing messing up yet again.
I enjoyed the Flash and Aquaman I thought they were good characters so it will be nice to see where they are taken in the future.
Cyborg needed a lot more fleshing out (no pun intended) as he is the least known of all the characters.
They could have also done a little more to explain Darkseid and his motives, but I guess Marvel hasn't really done a great deal to show Thanos' motives either yet.
I'm going to give this film another watch while its in the theatre and see what easter eggs I can pick out on second viewing.
