Review of Justice League (2017) by Jared W — 19 Nov 2017
If you are deciding whether to watch it or not, please go see it. It will be talked about by everyone for the next month. It is a good movie but it has some major flaws. Superman, Wonder Woman, and Cyborg were portrayed perfectly.
Beautiful acting by all three of those actors. Batman could've been a little darker because, well, he is Batman! Flash was too over the top funny to the point where you forgot he even was a superhero.
Aquaman was by far the lamest of the six members. He was portrayed as an alcoholic Jamaican mermaid, not the King of the Seven Seas. The biggest flaw of the movie was the villain. Steppenwolf was a poor CGI character and a terrible villain for the Justice League.
The villain should've been a character that required every single member of the league to take him down. A couple good examples for villains would be an alien invasion, a group of super villains (Suicide Squad maybe?) or a time traveler.
Also if your hoping to see Green Lantern, you'll be disappointed. He's not there. And since diversity in films and tv is an important topic I'll say this: Snyder could've added Jessica Cruz (Latina) and Simon Baz (Muslim) as Green Lanterns to mix up the all white all male Justice League.
Other than that, it was an amazing story and did a wonderful job of showing how the Justice League cane together. Please watch!
