Review of Justice League (2017) by Nick A — 19 Nov 2017
This movie is far better than average critical reviews would have you believe. I'm not sure what the deal is with critics writing hit pieces for good D.C. films that audiences really enjoy, but it's a ridiculous attempt to suppress turnout and drive down their box office performance compared to Marvel films (Civil War was garbage - don't care what this site says).
The old-timers' (Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Gal Gadot) acting was good as expected, but the newcomers' (Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, and Ray Fisher) acting was what really captivated me. Each of them embraced their roles and carried them out flawlessly. To me, the only thing that was unfortunate was the studio mandating a sub-2hr runtime; the story, while very well developed and executed, did feel a tad bit rushed given all that they were trying to accomplish.
Regardless, I am probably going to go see it again, will buy the BluRay as soon as it's released, and am praying for many more films in this series!
