Review of Justice League (2017) by Nicole Y — 19 Nov 2017
I loved this! Batman vs Superman was kind of a let down but Justice League definitely redeemed DC. I know people probably wanted more back story for Flash, Cyborg, and Aquaman bc they felt like they needed to know more first but it's ONE movie! I felt like they gave us just enough info about each character to give us a sense of who they are.
It just makes the audience more curious about their story for their own movies later on. Some articles I read said Cyborg was just there, just basically a side character. I did not feel this way! He was actually a big part and was pretty cool! Getting to see and find out what he can do makes me want to know more about what else he can do.
Ezra Miller's Flash was humorous. Aquaman and Wonder Woman were definite badasses in this! Very much stand outs. Ben Affleck's Batman was a little stiff and one note but that could be just because that's how Bruce Wayne is suppose to be.
Not a perfect movie, but so much fun and story was still good and enjoyable. Each superhero were equally great and all had their moments. You can see all of them really were the Justice League because you can see the team work.
CGI was not great but with the super powers these heroes have CGI is NEEDED! Steppinwolf could've been a real person instead of someone that was CGI to make the villain a little more connected but it really didn't bother me too much.
All in all Justice League was pretty awesome! I do feel like critics are bashing it and being harsh bc they expect DC to make their movies EXACTLY like MARVEL's map in movie routes. Movies CAN be done differently.
There is no one way!
