What in the world were they thinking when they made this movie. In an attempt to compete with Marvel Warner Brothers threw away every Justice League hero for mood and action scenes. The villain in this film is laughable at best and is so cardboard that you feel no threat from him at all.

He spouts one liners and says: "No, this can't be." like every cartoon character who was a bad guy in history. The only saving grace to this film is Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman and the film knew this based on promotional material.

The new heroes introduced are so forced and desperate to imprint on audiences that they are given traits over personalities to define them. Flash is nervous and talks too much like a man pumped with caffine.

Cyborg walks all tough like and whispers somberly. Aquaman is made into a tough biker with tattoos who says: "Yeah" whenever he does something cool. Snyder does not care about anything but the mood and the second director who's name I don't want to mention, thus tarnishing his reputation further only slaps in quirky humor.

It's a mess really and unfortunately this film was set up to never have opportunities in the first place due to the rushed nature of production. When a franchise is raced out to be competitive and cash in on fan nostalgia without any regard for story or quality control this is the end result.

If you like loud noises and lots of superficial explosions then grab some popcorn and enjoy. If you want to take your DC universe seriously just watch Nolan's Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and the first two Christopher Reave Superman renditions.
