Review of Justice League (2017) by Adrian S — 21 Mar 2018
My main problem with this movie is the fact that this movie was made. I hate to compare Marvel to DC because I love both equally, but the reason why Marvel's Avengers is so successful is because we got to know most of the characters before the first Avengers movie.
In Justice League, we do know Wonder Woman, Superman, and Batman relatively, however I think it would've been nice to get to see Cyborg, the Flash, and Aquaman in movies before Justice League. They don't have to have movies for themselves, but it would be nice to see them in movies with Wonder Woman, Superman, or Batman before Justice League.
I believe Aquaman is actually getting his own movie however, my personal opinion is that it would've been nice for this movie to come out before Justice League. I think the reason why people have been more biased to Marvel is because they've created more of a universe than DC has.
The way they have told the story and preparing for the first Avengers movie created excitement because the audience loved the previous movies and loved the characters. Whereas DC introduced us to Wonder Woman, Superman, and Batman before Justice League, however they didn't do quite as good of a job.
Wonder Woman was an amazing movie, however, we can all agree Batman vs. Superman was kind of a flop. Justice League has a chance to become great, however, I don't know how they can fix this. It seems their main problem is that recently they've had movies that weren't as good.
Like I said, Wonder Woman was amazing, but then there are movies like Batman vs. Superman and Suicide Squad. Batman vs. Superman was rushed and Suicide Squad was disappointing because, again, it was rushed, and the advertising was very misleading.
Most of the trailers and even the movie pictures made it seem the Joker was the villain, but then it was Enchantress. Also, I honestly think they should've just given the Joker and Harley their own movie before Suicide Squad.
Honestly, that would probably make way more box office money than Justice League got (which isn't saying much). Basically, I think DC hasn't take the time to tell their character's stories in better detail because they're just trying to keep up with Marvel.
It just seems all of their movies lately (besides Wonder Woman) have been rushed, and that is why I didn't like them coming out with Justice League. Also, the storyline for DC doesn't flow as well as Marvel's.
