Review of Justice League (2017) by Leonardo B — 05 Dec 2018
They are lucky that I don't give this a straight D. I don't mind the DCEU being dark and serious. But in this film, it was way too dark. Don't get me wrong, the jokes were very laughable. Steppenwolf was a good villain but there was way too much CGI went into him. I also think there was way too much detail that went into him. I love this version of Aquaman. Unlike the comics, you could get chills watching him do stuff. Cyborg was impressive, especially his CGI. As far as I'm aware this was the first live-action movie Cyborg. I am a huge fan of the Flash but this version is not my cup of tea. Ezra Miller is an incredible actor but his dialogue was trash. He seemed to... nerdy. His jokes were ok though. Henry, Affleck and Gadot had fine parts. There were so many references that make me excited for the upcoming Shazam, Flash, Wonder Woman and Joker movie and sequels.
I would recommend this if you liked any one of the previous DCEU movies. I would age it 12 for strong violence, language, and spooky scenes. I do believe for the future of the DCEU.
Grade: C+.
