Review of Just Wright (2010) by Raeha B — 30 May 2010
If my love life inspired a movie screenwriter, he/she would have written this movie. After Leslie (Queen Latifah) goes on her blind date, the guy tells her she's got great attributes and that anybody would be lucky to have her she's just not what he's looking for; they would be great friends.
If I had money for all the times I've heard something like that! There's great chemistry between Latifah and Common. As you can guess I related a lot to the character of Leslie and know first hand of the jealousy and anger she has towards her man-eating friend.
The ending was all wrong though. In real life Scott would have been fooled by the bad-acting goody-goody friend and Leslie would have been left out high and dry. From my experience the good guys never go for the good, tomboy-ish girls, don't want to mess up the friendship.
The ending was too convenient and after watching a great movie to have it end just like that was a pity.
