Predictable but engaging. Queen Latifah is marvelous in this movie and brightens every scene she's in. A great feel-good flick, it's not a block-buster, but as formulaic as it is, it still works because Latifah is real.
If you didn't see it in the theaters, it's a worthwhile rent.
