Review of Just My Luck (2006) by Gio P — 15 Jun 2009
Let's get this straight: in my opinion, The Parent Trap was Lindsay Lohan's last acceptable film...possibly with the exception of Freaky Friday...So whenever I sit through another role of hers, my expectations are not that high.
Sadly, Just My Luck's slightly interesting concept was not enough to save it from the "too good for you" aura that follows Lohan. If that wasn't enough, her breathy attempt at a Marilyn Monroe-esque husk was enough to drive me crazy.
I'm sorry, but when the climax of a movie is "I want to kiss you, BUT I CAN'T!!!"...I stop caring.
