Review of Just My Luck (2006) by Zehra P — 20 Jul 2009
Well the problem here is the fact that this movie was pretty dumb. And this movie is before Lindsey went to rehab, which in case you don't know was the mark in which Lohan's movies began to plummit into darkness (I Know Who Killed Me).
She did have that nice girl charm which was needed in order for this movie to not be a total failure. Lohan did give a generally good performance but the real problem was the movies' idea of "Bad Luck", but I digress, for you do not need to know how the movie replaces luck with stupididty, just read the consensus in the movies profile.
See if you don't all ready know I am a Lohan fan, but srictly before she did drugs and became a lesbian. Seriously though people don't like her as much as they should because she bagan to do these horrible movies.
Her career is going no where near where it could have gone if she didn't go to rehab. But once again, I digres, for you do not need to know all the drugs and possibly diseases she has gotten since her last good movie P.
H.C. which I would spell out but I don't don't know how to spell it right now, but once again, I digress. This movie was hoping that Lindsey Lohan's charm was going to save this movie, which unfortunalty missed by a landslide.
Even with Kate Winslet this movie would have bombed big time. In the end why whach this movie? Why put the time and effort that I have put into it just for writing this review? But in the end I did like Lohan and Pine together, but just couldn't get over the idiocy of this movie.
It's good if you want to look at somthing pretty but awful if you want a cohesive plot and interesting character's. But hey why bother right? The only reason I gave it a 40% is because the actors did try thier best to keep the movie just above stupidity.
But they failed miserbly at that. But it's almost fun to watch tme try.
