Review of Just Married (1998) by Paul C — 17 Mar 2010

The film did have its moments, but for the most part it was mostly bad. The story was really unbelievable and not all there. Without a good story you have to rely on the humor and it failed in that area also.

I admit that there were parts that got a small chuckle out of me, but for the most part I was just watching the film to wonder when it was going to end. Ashton Kutcher was not that good. All he did was yell and hurt himself.

Brittany Murphy was just ok, but when teamed up with Kutcher, she looked pretty bad. There were these strange dramatic scenes in the film where both main characters would cry and it was very fake looking.

You cannot take an off the wall movie like this and throw in some sad reality it does not fit together. It is like oil and water. So overall, not a very good movie. Maybe better next time. No, I doubt it.
