This movie started out kind of boring and lame but as the lies multiplied the jokes got funnier. Most of the humour was fairly stupid slapstick, trying to appeal to a large audience.

I think Nicole Kidman's performance as Devlin was absolutely brilliant. Probably her best acting in a movie ever. She's practically playing a caricature of herself. She was especially funny during the hula-off.

I was personally disturbed by the treatment of racial minorities in the movie, and in most widely popular movies right now. They seem rather marginalized. The one black character was a limo driver while the one hispanic woman was a cartoonish, idiotic nanny. Meanwhile, Adam Sandler is somehow a surgeon. How does that make sense?

I also thought both Sandler and Anniston were rather unprofessional as surgeon and surgeon's assistant, which took away from their roles' believability. They talked about their own personal issues in front of their patients and made fun of several patients' conditions.

I thought the kids in the movie were really hilarious, especially in the scene where they haggle with Sandler over what he will pay them to be his fake children.

I like the fact that Sandler chooses his friend and the person he relates to the most (even though she is older and a single mother) over the younger, more beautiful blonde. However, I thought it was unnecessary that she should have to prove her worth beyond that by having an almost unrealistically flawless body.
