Review of Just Go with It (2011) by Brandon W — 26 Mar 2015
I have always enjoyed Adam Sandler's films and hated his new ones, except for Hotel Transylvania. So with Just Go With It, I was honestly ready to hate it, but I surprisingly enjoyed it which is rare these days coming from Adam Sandler.
The plot is very sitcom which is usual from a comedy movie, but it's the jokes that matter, and 70% of them worked for me. The chemistry between Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston is really good which reminded me of my best friend and I a lot.
British and German people are probably going to be offended by this, but, at least for me, the British one does have a reason while the German one got me questioning and was like, why? But Nick Swardson does get a laugh here and there while Bailee Madison, while actually not bad when not doing the accent, can be a bit annoying at times.
It's a bit predictable, and some of the jokes don't work at any level, but Just Go With It is a good movie that shows that Adam Sandler can still be funny.
