Review of Just Friends (2005) by Zach G — 20 Sep 2009
This a very good buddie movie. Ryan Reynolds play Chris Brander, a chubby teenager who tries to wow over his best friend Jamie (Amy Smart) at graduation night. But when he gets embarrassed by Jamies ex boyfriend reading what he wrote to Jamie outloud to the party, Chris rides off on his back claiming he will be bigger than ll of them.
Fast forward ten years later and Chris is a skinny, hansome record producer in L.A. Before Christmas he has to take pop singer Samantha James (Anna Faris) to Paris. But when the plane mkes an emergency landing near the home town of Chris, its a blast from the past as he sees Jamie yet again and vows to wow over Jamie while keeping Samantha at bay. Then throw in another nerd from high school who is out to also charm Jamie in Dusty Dinkleman and you have a wild ar over emotions and Chris trying to in the girl of his dreams heart in this great movie that is a must see.
