The talent of the cast and premise sure are appealing at first. However, such promises never fully develop or mature as the film proceeds. As it continues to borrow elements from classics like Meet the Parents and There's Something about Mary, the essence of this rom-com, like Chris Brander, lacks the confident to take the next step and achieve its true potential.
