Review of Just Cause (1995) by Nick C — 15 Jan 2007
For me, a bad film is always worse if it has good actors in it because you expect them to do better. I went to see this film because I was excited about seeing Laurence Fishburne, Sean Connery and Ed Harris together, but the result was one of the most morally disgusting movies I've ever seen.
Since when has it ever been true that a liberal, crusading defender has unknowingly got a guilty man released from death row? Only in a ridiculously contrived plot like this one. I can't imagine any of the actors involved in this movie being proud of it and I'd love to know what they have to say about it.
