Review of Just Before Dawn (1981) by Ronald S — 05 Sep 2008
Watching it again, I don't mind the look of the killer too much. It's different, which is always good. I love this flick.
I don't understand why this isn't regarded as a classic up there with Halloween. Its really fucking good. My only complaint is the look of the killer, but its still creepy, well shot, fantastically directed, and with barely any horror cliche's to be seen. It takes the Halloween idea of what little is seen is scarier because of what you create in your mind. I love it. I'm in awe.
