Review of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) by Andreas M — 23 Jun 2018
It knows what it is, and doesn't try to do too much. For that, I can applaud it. Fallen Kingdom is two hours of dinosaur mayhem, and that's fun. However, unlike the previous installment, Fallen Kingdom cannot overcome its contrived plot, messy dialogue, and bland characters.
The film is at its best when tapping into some of the more horror elements that haven't been back since the original, and those sequences prove that director J.A. Bayona is a rather talented director who was given a messy script.
There's not much to chew on (other than human bodies if you're a dinosaur), but if you're looking for a fun summer night at the movies, Fallen World is at least that.
