Review of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) by Cole C — 30 Jul 2018
I knew from the trailers this looked like garbage, so waited a while till it was cheap to see. The first parts on the exploding island were entertaining, ridiculous, but entertaining. From then on out I was checking my phone to see how much time was left.
The new characters are pretty cliche, and seem to be there to have more diversity. I would prefer the family members from the last Jurassic World than the hip rocker 20 year old doctor and the "comedic relief" kid who just ended up bugging me.
You could see his "one liners" coming from a mile away, and don't think I laughed once in this movie. Well besides the cheesy brachiosaurus slowly dying on the docks from the volcano lava in the beginning.
The second half of the movie with the cloned child was like night at the museum, only stupider. It made the second half feel like a mix between a kids movie and a wannabe horror movie. Best part is when she lets the dinos out to kill us all because "They're like me.
" Another LOL moment in the theater for me. This movie is crap, the CGI I thought was good, so giving it 1 star.
