Review of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) by Dinodan — 21 Jun 2018
This was a decent movie. Not the best in the series, but also not the worst (JP3 looking at you). Be warned, if you are coming in and expecting to see a movie similar to Jurassic World you will be disappointed.
You can tell from the start that there is a new director in charge. JA Bayona is a fantastic director and he put his spin on the series. His style though is more of an intense movie than the lighthearted style of Colin Trevorrow.
I think that this works pretty nicely. I feel the tone of this movie reflects the tone of the books better than any of the other movies, but that style is not going to be what people expect/want. Overall, the movie is good, it has its questionable moments, but I enjoyed it.
