Review of Jurassic World Dominion (2022) by Umaumai — 11 Jun 2022
This movie has no idea what it wants to be or how many characters are need to be in it to cary the plot. There were so many sub plots that happened that I couldn’t keep up where the movie was going and could barely take in where it had been.
I swear at one point I realized that they had “Pitch Meeting” their way of getting out of situations with such “super easy barely and inconvenience” that I gave up and just tuned out the dialogue.
That’s when it started to enjoy it. Just the spectacle. It’s too bad because there were a couple of legitimately great ideas that they could have focused on instead of flopping down the next “high stakes problem” that fell flat because there was rarely any tension on screen.
Also apparently the CEO of Apple, AKA “Tim Apple” (ha), is now biotech guy. None of that was subtle and I actually liked that. Can’t recommend the movie to fans of the franchise, but kids will enjoy it.
