The whole conflict of this movie emerges from a moment of impossibly ridiculous stupidity (this is enough to not take seriously anything that happens afterwards), which is followed by even more stupid nonsense. This film is a lazy excuse for mindless, lazy action sequences, which are not even minimally enjoyable or exciting because it's ALL CGI. In all seriousness, with the blatant lack of practical effects (and even real sets), claiming that this film belongs to the same franchise as the revolutionary original film almost feels presumptuous and insulting.

If you care at all about plot and characters (which is what every film should be about), this movie is not for you.
