Review of Jurassic World (2015) by Jon Y — 23 Apr 2018
For entertainment, the movie is ok. For believability (besides recreating dinosaurs) is just not there. If you want me to believe something far fetched like the dinosaurs, lets make the story around it believable to that point.
This movie does not any way make me believe this could actually happen in real life if dinosaurs existed in our time. The military plan using raptors is about the stupidest premise in the movie. Free roaming gyro-spheres with no outside control whatsoever is also far fetched.
No escape plan is incredulous. The over reaction of Bryce Howard's character to take off in her car and call the center to see if the Indominous had escaped, instead of picking up the phone right then and there and saying "Hey.
wheres the dino? In the cage? OK! All good" makes no sense at all. The Mesosaur that can take out anything on the banks with a small railing to protect the people is absurd. All these scenarios with the kids coming, the military plan, the CEO learning to fly and coming in all on the same day is beyond coincidental.
Gonna see JP2 with my kids, but not expecting a whole lot.
