Review of Jurassic World (2015) by Jacob B — 26 Dec 2016
Jurassic World is still unable to live up to the classic 1993 Spielberg film. Fortunately, the film manages to exceed expectations as well as serve as an amazing improvement over that half-assed Joe Johnston-directed third installment.
Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard's performances are amazing, the film is just as visually dazzling as one might expect from a big-budget sci-fi movie about dinosaurs released in 2015 and, all in all, it's an action-packed thrill ride.
Okay, it does indeed have its implausible moments like the fact that Howard's character of Claire is able to outrun a T-Rex in high heels. Fortunately, Colin Trevorrow manages to execute the end result very well and so the movie is just plain fun.
