Review of Jurassic World (2015) by Sin S — 13 Sep 2017
I'm a late bloomer when it comes to Jurassic fanaticism, but nevertheless a diehard dino purveyor. From the first frame of this picture you're immediately told from behind the curtain how the crowd eats the narrative, which is quite refreshing given today's bevy of smarmy, thumb twiddling peers.
The allegory at it's heart isn't about reborn fossils terrorizing hapless onlookers, but more akin to Spielberg's original tale; family. As well as a host of other timely issues facing our race at the moment.
The culminating battle is breathtaking and chilling, not because of the who or what, but the why. Which is why Trevorrow's vision now reigns supreme on this dude's list.
