Review of Jurassic World (2015) by Ryan H — 20 Jan 2018
It may not quite live up to the original film, but Jurassic World is a fun popcorn flick that is vastly better than The Lost World and Jurassic Park III. While the almost complete lack of animatronic dinosaurs is a bit disappointing, the CGI is just as good as the original if not better.
Most of the characters are one-dimensional, but Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Vincent D'Onofrio are all great, and Jake Johnson is surprisingly good as Lowery, the semi-self-aware comic relief.
The Indominus Rex makes for an unexpectedly scary monster, and its final fight against a T-Rex, Velociraptor, and Mosasaurus is simply fantastic.
