Review of Jurassic Park III (2001) by Madison K — 28 Dec 2011
A perfect example of the way CG has replaced good old fashioned models and animatronics, and cheapened the effect.
You get the sense watching this film that its director was so desperate to out do his predecessors that his efforts to simply make a good film go by the way side. Why else would the T-rex, the most iconic character in the previous two films be killed off by the new big bad dinosaur 20 minutes into the movie if Jonston wasn't just trying to upstage the franchises previous installments?
This film shares all the problems of the previous two JP movies: bad acting and sub par scripts. The first 2 had the action and the awe to balance it out. This one doesnt.
