Frankly, this contributes nothing to the franchise; a spinosaurus and unnecessarily intelligent velociraptors are added without any concern for continuity issues. If that's not bad enough, we are meant to believe that this kid Eric survives eight weeks on his own, when he is clearly dumb as a stump and twice as annoying.
