Review of Jurassic Park III (2001) by Peter N — 12 Aug 2012
A third entry in a film series revolving around dinosaurs is destined to lack originality, but at least it's better than the second one. Thanks to the return of Sam Neill and a variety of formidable creatures, Jurassic Park III manages to be entertaining, even if it's in a much less intelligent manner than the first film.
Steven Spielberg's decision not to direct this one clearly gives it a different style, but it's not necessarily a bad thing. One of the big problems of the film is the constant bickering between William H.
Macy and Tea Leoni. Sure, there is supposed to be a lot of hostility and hard feelings between the two, but it really makes you want to cheer for the dinosaurs. It's a fairly good movie, even if it feels like a complete rehash of the earlier films.
