Review of Jurassic Park III (2001) by Frisby 2 — 01 Jul 2012
Seriously, why do I feel like I'm the only person who can see that this film is NOT even that bad as the others are making it seem like? (it's not even bad to begin with).
If you're going to trash any of the Jurassic Park movies, then trash the second one, because that one was actually nothing but crap! It's not a perfect movie, but it sure as hell isn't bad.
Sure, this installment is nowhere near the genius of the first one, but what exactly makes this film crap? The acting wasn't bad, the dinosaur special effects were top-notch (those Pterodactyls looked sick!!), the story is there & is pretty solid, the dialogue is phenomenal, the characters were great, & the casting choices were great! Hell even Sam Neill comes back to reprise his role as Alan Grant (whereas the character of Jeff Goldblum bored me to death).
Sure the film has a handful of inconsistencies (i.e. the Spinosaur cracking the T-rex's neck [it's not possible due to the Spinosaur's week jaw]), but who cares? It was tons load of fun! I had a thrill watching, & still can't see why people hated it, let alone even think if it's worse or better than the second one. That's not even a question, this film is definitely better than the second one.
