Review of Jurassic Park III (2001) by Mackenzie H — 25 Feb 2013
Jurassic Park III is predictable and although the actors are good, the script could have been better. The film may be terrifying, but the throw away characters, who actually had survival skills died and the one guy who was smart, the clever kid, and three morons survived.
The one thing that did surprise me is how Velociraptors and Tyrannosaurs, which are the by far the two most popular dinosaurs, had little to do with this movie. The movie also seemed to copy the second.
Somebody tricks somebody to go to an island, to help someone else get off the island. Also, if this is the same island from the second film, where was the Spinosaurus throughout the second movie? And I know that the movie's crew wants to be accurate to new discoveries, but Velociraptor with feathers are much less terrifying than the reptile-like dinosaurs were it the first two films.
I still love some of the sequences and the film is good. I had a blast watching it.
