Review of Jupiter Ascending (2015) by Ken M — 21 Jul 2015
OMG- you people here are so full of yourselves! Thank gawd you're couch surfers and don't matter whatsoever... well, to me anyway.
I can't believe this got bad reviews at all- this movie, to me, is what should be the first of one of the best series of movies I've seen in a long time! Visually amazing, thrilling plot, something for everyone and built for all ages! If the haters don't like this "type" or genre of movie don't comment or move on!
I'm also glad this wasn't one of those Eastern European of Dubai-financed movie with crap scripts and ram it down your throat gags for 90 minutes.
Best movie I've seen in years! Channing Tatum was fairly verbally subdued as he's maturing as an actor (I wish they were that insightful in the early years of Brad Pitts career) and Mila Kunis was what she is- young, naive and drop-dead gorgeous! To me the casting and script for the two was brilliant.
I don't need to even mention how good the special effects were and incorporating character types from Dune, action like Star Wars and Riddick all rolled up in one with a backdrop of modern day Earth so we can all relate made it a feast visually and gave me everything I think movies should be!
This should be the first in a series of epic space adventures and maybe be hyped more before it's released because a majority of people need to be told what to like so they can agree and still feel like they're cool and part of a group- no offense to the 60,000 rotten couch haters that don't agree but I'm sure you'll all hate me too. It's okay to have your own opinion. Repeat after me- Lemmings are baaaad...
