Review of Jupiter Ascending (2015) by Orunleon — 28 Aug 2015
I feel saddened that the Wachowskis have fallen so low. The once great minds which brought us one of the best science fiction movies ever made have now brought us a convoluted, poorly directed, abysmally written, ridiculous joke of a science fiction film.
The only redeeming factor of the movie is Michael Giacchino's score. Eddie Redmayne's performance must also be given credit as I found it actually quite good, in a (comical) way. The action sequences look extremely messy and overloaded, the plot makes no sense throughout, even the special effects were below average looking and the characters were underdeveloped.
For something with a budget so high, I have to wonder how this movie was green-lit in any hopes for success.
