Review of Jupiter Ascending (2015) by Another V — 13 Jan 2016

I liked it. This story is a futuristic fairy tale of peasant becomes royal and good vs. evil. It's not realistic, but it's not meant to be. It's a fairy tale after all.

Reminds me of Cinderella. A girl named Jupiter goes from cleaning toilets to being a high ranking member of a space faring royal family.

Jupiter's new wealth makes her a target in need of a protector. Jupiter's hero, Caine, seems like an angel. He has lightning fast reflexes, superhuman senses, strong loyalty, the ability to fly, and he's easy on the eyes. Yum.

Jupiter will try to use her new status to protect her family and the people of Earth from a horrific fate.

The question left in my mind after watching this movie, is, does Jupiter take the rejuvenating elixir decades later to extend her life, knowing 100 humans were killed in order to make it, so that she can continue to live on and protect the people of Earth?
