Review of Jupiter Ascending (2015) by R. Anthony S — 31 Jan 2016
Like the last film I had high expectations for (Prometheus) this film failed to deliver in so many ways. Visually stunning, lavishly budgeted, well cast, etc. The one thing this had over that film was the promise, the hint, of a really good original story that could be worth telling if only they had taken the time to develop the script more, honed it down to the kind of story you can tell in two hours of film time.
As this film stands now it is tribute to what might have been if you squint at the screen really hard and think about what the characters are not saying.
