Review of Jupiter Ascending (2015) by Leonard D — 13 Feb 2016
Sign.....so I watched the damn film for the first time tonight, because I couldn't help it!
There are some cool visuals that kept me entertained, but aside from that, I was pretty bored and FRUSTRATED!
Cannot deny the fact that Kunis is hot, almost the Cindy Krawford of this generation! However, if no one, and I mean, no one, has the balls to push this woman's acting talent past moving around with a vacuous expression on her face, then you, pal, are a coward! Who is this girls agent that gets her roles like this!? Does he/she not even care!?
Wow, just, wow! How do people like this exist!?
One of the reasons which I've heard that this movie has a female following, is because of Channing Tatum, because he's the Jonathan Brandis of this generation. Of course the makeup artists couldn't apply a full cover to him, is because the filmmakers needed his face and physique to be fully exposed in order to make the ladies droll over him! The only alien part about the guy is his elf ears? Yeah, nice move and good imagination guys!(face palm!).
If the Wachowski's could come up with their own unique story, then why would they take the laziest route possible? Ripping off other sci-fi films, and calling this an original idea? C'mon you two!
And the dialogue!? Why make it a major snooze fest with all explanation, and hardly any logical reason with any focus in a film like this? Are you even trying, at all!? Are your egos so gosh darn big, that you don't give a damn about your target audience?
And another thing. This movie has the same problem as the film In Time, because, it's a movie which mostly casted some of the most beautiful people in Hollywood, and the directors thought they could distract us by drooling and fapping to the sexy casts looks! PLEASE!
So, yeah, stop wasting my time, and actually try for once, just please, try!
