Review of Jupiter Ascending (2015) by Duncan1964 — 16 Feb 2015
If ambition was a gauge of quality then this would be top of the heap, for there is ambition to spare in this new sci fi epic from the Wachowski's. The story of a young toilet cleaner who finds out that she actually "owns" the earth this is bonkers, with a capital B! Very little of it makes sense but that really isn't the point.
This is a ride, expecting you to climb aboard and hang on for dear life and go with every daft plot twist and turn it throws at you. In any other movie Redmayne's performance would be classed as OTT, camp or just plain bad, but in the context of the world the film creates it all seems to make perfect sense.
