Review of Juno (2007) by Hanif M — 02 Sep 2013
This was a terrific movie. All of the performances are exceptional. Ellen Page is unique, riviting, and charismatic genius. She could have carried this entire film by herself. Her character was brilliantly written.
She was Brave, smart, sassy, and an all around badass. She was the perfect character to root for. There are so many of her lines that are simply comedic gold. Michael Cera as Paulie Bleeker was great and so was Jason Bateman as Mark Loring.
Allison Janney as Bren Macguff and JK Simmons as Mac MacGuff were great parental figures. But it is Jennifer Garner who stands out as the best member of the supporting cast. She appears to be very needy and full of fear the minute that Juno is introduced to her.
She is magnificent because she makes the audience believe that she was really destined to be a mother and she will lose her sanity if she doesnt become one.
