Review of Juno (2007) by Genaro C — 16 Jan 2014
Juno is one of a kind type of comedy that takes on a very serious issue that is relative even today: Teen Pregnancy. How do you satirize teen pregnancy? Well Juno does and Ellen Paige certainly defies the pop culture cliches surrounding pregnancy with her witty, angsty teenage character.
Micheal Cera, though a little redundant, isn't bad in this movie either. How can you hate a movie with quotes like "hold on a second, I'm on my burger phone" or "Jeez Banana, shut your friggin gobb".
This movie also makes a great tool (no pun intended) for sex ed classes to utilize when talking about the s-word.
