I liked it well enough. Oscar worthy? It was a typical teen coming of age story to me. No big whoop! I have to look up the criteria for an Oscar... Some movies and performances that get Oscars leave me wondering WTF, YTF, n HTF? Like American Beauty.
.. I liked that movie a lot BUT Oscar? Really? Training Day? Um No Denzel has played faaar better parts! Monsters Ball?! Really?! Halle Berry can't even act for real! She doesn't deserve an Oscar for shit! If the academy just felt the need to give it to a black woman they missed their chance more than once BUT this is who they went with? She only 1/2 black! An Oscar Winning movie is The Godfather, Slumdog Millionaire, Million Dollar Baby.
