Review of Jungle Fever (1994) by Perry W — 17 Jul 2008
I forgot how good this film was. The acting is on point on nearly every scene. The writing can be a bit preachy, but it's sincere. Jungle Fever gives us a truthful story of how our society dealt with race relations in the 90's and serves as a litmus test on how much we have and have not accomplished since then.
The Stevie Wonder/Frank Sinatra inspired score adds just the right tone. I think I just might propose to Ruby Dee.
