Review of Jungle Fever (1991) by Fairy P — 15 Jun 2008
I have come to love Spike Lee Joints. He comes up with some great social commentary in his films. My one qualm and the reason I detracted a star from the rating is his choice in score and soundtrack. It really ruins the flow of the film. It got to the point where mid scene I would lose concentration in dialog and just say WTF? I felt the same way watching Do the Right Thing. The only Spike Lee Joint that had an overall great flow was He Got Game and that's only because Public Enemy did the tracks.
Wesley Snipes does a great job in this flick. Somewhat strong in the ethnic issues, but what Spike Lee Joint isn't.
