NEW MOVIE: "Jumping the Broom" 2 out of 5 Popcorn Bags "Now on the surface 'Jumping the Broom' looks like it's a Tyler Perry movie. Actually it's worst than a Tyler Perry movie.
Nothing new about love or relationships is brought up. Really? Which is a shame because a really good and good looking cast including Angela Bassett, Paula Patton, Lorreta Divine, Tasha Smith and Laz Alonso gets totally wasted.
But bad writing and poor directing always equals a lousy movie. Just wish there was a way to escape all of the stereotypical characters and cliches but props to Mike Epps who tries his best to make this uneven movie watchable.
