Review of Jumping the Broom (2011) by Eshanna H — 02 Jun 2011
It's tough. After seeing movies like Love Jones, The Best Man, and The Wood over the years, it can be cliche to see wedding movies nowadays. There's always the drama and the "ridiculous" humor mixed together. However, it's a cliche that's welcomed. Plus, you add as many stars as you see in Jumping the Broom and even more drama between the families like this and you can have a winner.
Everyone worked together very well. The scenery is very nice, both the landscapes and the attractive women. Ladies, I was with my mother and sister for this screening and I could tell that they enjoyed the men as well.
One thing that surprised me was the audience on Mother's Day. The theater was about a 200 seater and there weren't many empty seats. I was surprised that there wasn't more laughter. Maybe the audience had just eaten dinner and were ready to nap. We had a lot of fun throughout. There were spots that warranted heavier laughter than what it received. The drama really got the viewer involved towards the end also. See this film.
Tieuel Legacy! Motion.
