Review of Jumper (2008) by Daniel C — 09 Nov 2013
David's been living with teleportation abilities & gets caught up in an ancient war.
I didn't have high hopes for this film considering the lead actor but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. This is no movie to blow your socks off but I liked the idea and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be.
David has had the power of teleportation since he was a kid and has been using it to his advantage bringing him wealth and a life unrivaled as he can be anywhere he chooses. While rekindling a relationship with an old friend, David soon finds himself in a world of trouble where there are others like him and a group of agents looking to destroy them.
The concept is good, even if the story and some of the effects (particularly a certain car chase) aren't quite up to standard.
