Review of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) by Carlos Javier P — 16 Apr 2018
Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan. What an interesting ensemble cast. What's good about this cast is that they're all my favorite actors. Yes, Kevin Hart has convinced me enough that he can do a pretty good performance. It's good to see Jack Black back in the movies and I love his performance. You can't go wrong with The Rock and Amy Pond (Karen Gillan played that character from Doctor Who).
The movie really picks up well after they get sucked into the game. They did really well with still keeping intact that they're teenagers trapped in interesting video game characters. The story isn't actually that bad and if you are a fan of the classic Jumanji film, don't fret on this. It's an enjoyable movie. This probably will leave a good impression with a lot of young people today like me and the others were with Robin Williams' performance in the classic version.
What else can I say about this movie? There are interesting quirks of video game elements and if you're also someone who plays video games, especially the retro stuff then you'll have an even more great time because all throughout the story of them in the video game was pretty much relatable. At least for me.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is an enjoyable comedy, action, adventure movie and I think people shouldn't miss this one if you're a fan of any of the actors.
