Review of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) by Davidtejada — 26 Jan 2018
"JUMANJI 2 gives a powerful main cast (Johnson, Hart, Black, Gillan) and great laughs at its times, even the chemistry is so strong you can't complaint about it. The only thing is that it does disappoint when it comes to the action scenes, some visual effects and the poor characterization from the rest of the cast".
///// Even though I haven't seen the first (1995) what I can see here is a movie that gave more than I expected... most of the gags provided by Black and Johnson. It was a funny flick that I will remember for a good time.
The environment of Jumanji also looked fantastic (however almost everything was CGI). SADDLY THE BAD NEWS were the villain, (Cannavale, supposedly the bad-ass turned out to be the most mediocre character), the action sequences (as told before: Pure CGI and mostly slow), the confusion created in the beggining and the ending (the character "Alex" in real life creates so many doubts).
///// Still, what made the movie so special was the unbelievable chemistry between the gang something probably that I won't see in a long time.
